Keep subjects off the seams
A face or a word cut in half reads as a mistake. Let the background cross the edge instead.
Free tool
Split a wide photo or panorama into seamless carousel slides. Free, no sign-up, and your photo never leaves your device.
Drop a wide photo or panorama here, or choose one from your device.
Drop in a panorama, a landscape shot or a long collage. Wider photos give each slide more detail.
Portrait 4:5 fills the most screen in the feed. The tool suggests how many slides fit the photo without stretching it; you can choose from 2 to 20.
Move the photo until faces, text and the main subject sit clear of the dashed seam lines.
Download the slides as a ZIP or save them to Photos, then select them in Instagram in the same order: 1, 2, 3.

Instagram crops every image in a carousel to the shape of the first one, so mixed shapes break the join.
If one slide is empty sky, either reduce the slide count or move the photo so every swipe shows a detail.
Glassy for iPhone
Glassy builds the carousel with you. Let a photo, a line of text or a sticker cross the seam, start from a template, add Liquid Glass, lyrics or workout stats, and export the slides in order, or as one scrolling video.
Get Glassy on the App StoreYes. The splitter is free, adds no watermark and needs no account. It runs entirely in your browser.
No. Your photos are processed on your own device by your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so the tools also work with private photos.
Portrait 4:5 at 1080 × 1350 px shows the most in the feed. Square 1:1 is 1080 × 1080 px, and Instagram now also accepts 3:4 at 1080 × 1440 px. The splitter exports each slide at these sizes as a high-quality JPEG.
Instagram allows up to 20 photos or videos in one carousel post, so the splitter goes up to 20 slides.
Usually the slides were selected out of order, or Instagram cropped them because the shapes differ. Select the slides in numbered order and keep the same shape for all of them.
Yes. Open this page in Safari, choose the panorama from Photos, then use Save to Photos or share to keep the slides on your iPhone.
The splitter cuts one finished photo into equal pieces. In Glassy you design the carousel itself: photos, words and stickers are separate layers you can place across slide edges, with templates, Liquid Glass and scrolling video export.
